When: Thursday after Easter Day of worship for childless families when a special mass and feast is held in Tsachkhuru archangel’s church near Salkhino. During Tsachkhuroba a special service is conducted for childless couples and they are mentioned in the prayers. The couples are given Eucharist and after that they are invited for a dinner organized by the diocese together with the pilgrims.

When: 6th of May and 23rd of November Alertoba, also known as St. Giorgi’s Day, is celebrated annually in St. Giorgi church of Alerti in Martvili on May 6 and November 23. St. Giorgi of Alerti was considered to be a powerful icon throughout Georgia. People laid the sick in front of the St. Giorgi icon for the purpose of healing, stayed up all night and prayed for the sick. In addition to this celebration there was a market day.
